Description
Reflexotherapy is a branch of reflexology that focuses on treatment through massage of reflex points located on the soles of the feet, palms of the hands, and other areas of the body.
It is a holistic technique that views the body as a whole. According to this approach, whenever a nerve ending on the sole of the foot is sensitive or painful when pressure is applied, the corresponding organ is considered to be experiencing an imbalance or dysfunction, even when no visible symptoms have yet appeared. Specific dispersing or toning techniques are used to help eliminate toxins and micro-deposits accumulated in the reflex zones of the sole and, through reflex pathways involving nerves and meridians, to restore the energetic and functional balance of the organs and body systems.
